Mom

You kept a roof right over my head

Working so hard, making sure we were fed

You helped everybody who came to your door

Always so generous, giving us more

A beautiful spirit, a hard-working soul

Keeping us steady and keeping us whole

You carried the weight and you never complained

Sheltered this family whenever it rained

Who can find a virtuous woman?

Her worth is far above rubies and gold

You are the matriarch, loving and strong

A beautiful story the Lord has foretold

Feisty and faithful, you weather the storm

Keeping this family sheltered and warm

Oh, Momma, you shine like the morning sun

You are my Proverbs 31

You taught me the lessons I needed for life

How to stand tall through the struggle and strife

With a feisty spirit and arms open wide

You walked through the fire with faith as your guide

You never backed down from a mountain too steep

You made all the promises you meant to keep

Through every trial, you stood in the gap

With the cares of our world resting right in your lap

Who can find a virtuous woman?

Her worth is far above rubies and gold

You are the matriarch, loving and strong

A beautiful story the Lord has foretold

Feisty and faithful, you weather the storm

Keeping this family sheltered and warm

Oh, Momma, you shine like the morning sun

You are my Proverbs 31

I look in the mirror and who do I see?

I see the strength that you handed to me

I wouldn't be the woman I am today

If you hadn't loved me and shown me the way

Lord, thank you for Mom, for the grace she provides

The heart of this family, our light and our guide

Who can find a virtuous woman?

Her worth is far above rubies and gold

You are the matriarch, loving and strong

A beautiful story the Lord has foretold

Feisty and faithful, you weather the storm

Keeping this family sheltered and warm

Oh, Momma, you shine like the morning sun

You are my Proverbs 31

I wouldn't be the woman I am without you

My Proverbs 31
