shawn

Shawn, you have a spirit that always leaves a mark

A loving and true friend, a comfort in the dark

I see the gentle way you pour your kindness out

You lift up the heavy hearts and quiet down the doubt

So don't you ever settle for a fraction of your worth

You carry a grace that is rare on this earth

Hold your head up high, let the whole world see

You're a child of God, exactly who you're meant to be

You give without a question, you love without an end

I count it as a blessing to call you my friend

But sometimes the ones who are holding the light

Forget that they also deserve what is right

So don't you ever settle for a fraction of your worth

You carry a grace that is rare on this earth

Hold your head up high, let the whole world see

You're a child of God, exactly who you're meant to be

When the road gets lonely or the shadows start to press

Remember the Maker who calls you completely blessed

Never take a love that is less than what is true

Because heaven's very best was intended for you

So don't you ever settle for a fraction of your worth

You carry a grace that is rare on this earth

Hold your head up high, let the whole world see

You're a child of God, exactly who you're meant to be

Shawn, you're a child of God, exactly who you're meant to be
