Gregory

I remember the very first day that we met

A moment my spirit could never forget

I saw the kindness that lived in your eyes

A beautiful blessing, a sweet, sweet surprise

Gregory, you walked in with peace in your soul

And I knew right then that the Lord was in control

You showed me what true love is meant to be

A reflection of heaven for me to see

I thank the good Lord for the gift of your hand

A compassionate heart and a God-fearing man

As long as I breathe and the stars shine above

Gregory, you will have my forever love

I think of the first time you came to my door

I didn't know all that the Lord had in store

You stepped in my house and brought light to the room

Chasing away every shadow and gloom

So gentle and caring, so patient and mild

You loved me the way that God comforts His child

You showed me what true love is meant to be

A reflection of heaven for me to see

I thank the good Lord for the gift of your hand

A compassionate heart and a God-fearing man

As long as I breathe and the stars shine above

Gregory, you will have my forever love

Your love for the Maker is what makes you strong

It is the melody guiding our beautiful song

You lead with a spirit so tender and true

I see His sweet grace when I'm looking at you

You showed me what true love is meant to be

A reflection of heaven for me to see

I thank the good Lord for the gift of your hand

A compassionate heart and a God-fearing man

As long as I breathe and the stars shine above

Gregory, you will have my forever love

Yes, I thank God for you, my forever love
