You planted seeds of faith that I still carry to this day

Beautiful and caring, with a heart so quick to give

You showed me what it means to love, you showed me how to live

Thank you, Momma, for standing right beside me

When the shadows fell, you were the light to guide me

For holding onto hope on my very hardest days

And pointing my eyes upward when I had lost my way

I don't know where I'd be right now, or what I'd even do

If I didn't have your love to see me through

When I was sick in detox, and shivering in the cold

You brought me food and comforted the aching in my soul

You never let addiction tear our loving bond apart

You took me in from rehab with an open, faithful heart
