Bethie

Bethie, you always know just what to say

When the heavy clouds are getting in the way

You listen with a heart that understands

And hold my worries gently in your hands

It's just the way your spirit shines so bright

You pull me from the shadows into light

We're trading movie quotes until we cry

Laughing at the lines as time goes by

But when the credits roll and life gets hard

You remind me of the faith inside my heart

You show me what that sacred promise means

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

You never judge the stumbles or the tears

You just sit beside me through the fears

A personality that feels like home

Reminding me I'm never on my own

With every single kindness that you show

You give my weary soul a place to grow

We're trading movie quotes until we cry

Laughing at the lines as time goes by

But when the credits roll and life gets hard

You remind me of the faith inside my heart

You show me what that sacred promise means

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

From the inside jokes that only we can get

To the deep conversations I will never forget

Bethie, you're a blessing, a steady guiding friend

Standing right beside me on the paths that bend

You point my eyes above when I am weak

And help me find the courage that I seek

We're trading movie quotes until we cry

Laughing at the lines as time goes by

But when the credits roll and life gets hard

You remind me of the faith inside my heart

You show me what that sacred promise means

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

Yeah, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
