Brantley

Sitting by the water with a bobber cast out

Waiting on a tug to see what fishing's all about

Hearing that old whistle blow down the railway line

Watching all the boxcars roll, just you and me and time

I look at you and smile while the engine fades away

I wouldn't trade a second of this perfect summer day

Oh, Brantley, you're my sweet and loving son

When it comes to amazing, boy, you are the one

You're so quick to be helpful, with a heart so true

Mama is so proud of everything you do

Never stop being the amazing baby that you are

You'll always be my brightest star

When the sun goes down and the evening gets slow

We lay back in the yard where the soft breezes blow

Pointing up at the sky, watching stars shine down

Just the two of us, miles away from town

I watch the way you laugh, so gentle and so kind

A sweeter boy than you would be impossible to find

Oh, Brantley, you're my sweet and loving son

When it comes to amazing, boy, you are the one

You're so quick to be helpful, with a heart so true

Mama is so proud of everything you do

Never stop being the amazing baby that you are

You'll always be my brightest star

The years are gonna roll like those engines on the track

But no matter how you grow, I've always got your back

I love you, my sweet son, more than words can say

I'll be right beside you every step of the way

Oh, Brantley, you're my sweet and loving son

When it comes to amazing, boy, you are the one

You're so quick to be helpful, with a heart so true

Mama is so proud of everything you do

Never stop being the amazing baby that you are

You'll always be my brightest star
