Yasmin

I still remember that beautiful day

When the whole world shifted in a brand new way

Two little lines and a tear in my eye

A quiet prayer whispered up to the sky

I didn't know your face, but I knew my heart

Was yours, my Yasmin, right from the start

I love you to the moon and back, infinite times

Through all of the seasons and mountains we climb

With your caring heart and your honest soul

You're the beautiful piece that makes my life whole

Yasmin, my daughter, my brightest light

I'll love you forever, through day and through night

Every moment since then is a gift to me

Watching you grow into who you're meant to be

You have a gentle way of showing you care

And a loving spirit that's beautifully rare

You speak the truth, you stand steady and real

I can't even measure the pride that I feel

I love you to the moon and back, infinite times

Through all of the seasons and mountains we climb

With your caring heart and your honest soul

You're the beautiful piece that makes my life whole

Yasmin, my daughter, my brightest light

I'll love you forever, through day and through night

The years keep on turning, the days hurry past

But the joy of that first moment is made to last

From a tiny heartbeat to the woman you are

No matter the distance, I'm never too far

'Cause I love you to the moon and back, infinite times

Through all of the seasons and mountains we climb

With your caring heart and your honest soul

You're the beautiful piece that makes my life whole

Yasmin, my daughter, my brightest light

To the moon and back, infinite times
