Shawn

The sky was pouring heavy on the darkened street

I was watching the clock, tired on my feet

Then the door swung open, dripping wet and cold

There you were, Shawn, a handsome sight to behold

You walked through the storm just to sit by my side

To make sure I was safe at the end of the night

Shawn, I am so in love with you, more than words can say

And I just love you more with every passing day

You're the most understanding man I've ever known

So amazing to me, you feel like my home

My heart is yours, and it will always remain

With the man who waited for me in the rain

I see the way you love Michael and Jayden too

They've got an amazing dad when they look at you

You guide them with a steady hand and a patient heart

I loved that side of you right from the very start

Watching you with them, so gentle and strong

Just proves to me that right here is where I belong

Shawn, I am so in love with you, more than words can say

And I just love you more with every passing day

You're the most understanding man I've ever known

So amazing to me, you feel like my home

My heart is yours, and it will always remain

With the man who waited for me in the rain

I know I haven't always been the easiest to love

I've put you through a lot when push comes to shove

But you chose to forgive me and weather the tide

You held out your hand and stood by my side

Shawn, I am so in love with you, more than words can say

And I just love you more with every passing day

You're the most understanding man I've ever known

So amazing to me, you feel like my home

My heart is yours, and it will always remain

With the man who waited for me in the rain
