Adam

I remember the moment you walked in my life

I was carrying weight, I was tired of the fight

But you looked in my eyes and you saw who I was

You didn't ask questions, you loved just because

With a kind, understanding, and patient embrace

You made my whole world feel like a safe place.

Oh, Adam, I love you, I just need to say

I appreciate all that you do every day

You're the calm in the storm, you're the steady and true

I'm so lucky to share this whole lifetime with you

For the tenderness that you so freely impart

You made me feel safe right from the start.

It takes a rare man with a heart made of gold

To step in and build up a family to hold

You didn't just love me, you took us right in

A loving stepdad through the thick and the thin

You give us your time and you give us your care

Whenever we need you, you're already there.

Oh, Adam, I love you, I just need to say

I appreciate all that you do every day

You're the calm in the storm, you're the steady and true

I'm so lucky to share this whole lifetime with you

For the tenderness that you so freely impart

You made me feel safe right from the start.

Sometimes I watch you when you're unaware

Just thanking the stars for the life that we share

For the grace that you show when the waters get rough

I could say thank you, but it's never enough.

Oh, Adam, I love you, I just need to say

I appreciate all that you do every day

You're the calm in the storm, you're the steady and true

I'm so lucky to share this whole lifetime with you

A husband, a father, a beautiful heart

You made me feel safe right from the start.
