Drew

We met right there at church, standing side by side

Taking time to build a bond with nothing left to hide

We dated through the seasons, we let the story write

Walking in the promises and walking in the light

You always spoke the honest truth, you kept my spirit safe

A quiet kind of shelter in the center of my faith

Oh, I thank God for the man that you are

A good Christian heart, my steady guiding star

Drew, you are the answer to the prayers I used to pray

And my love for you just keeps on growing every day

I thought I knew exactly how the question would be asked

But you always bring the joy into every little task

We were wandering the aisles on an ordinary run

When you looked at me and told me I was the only one

Right there in the middle of Kohl's, you caught me by surprise

With an eight-quart crockpot and forever in your eyes

Oh, I thank God for the man that you are

A good Christian heart, my steady guiding star

Drew, you are the answer to the prayers I used to pray

And my love for you just keeps on growing every day

You are fiercely protective, so caring and so kind

The sweetest earthly blessing I could ever hope to find

Through the laughter and the waiting, through the sacred and the sweet

You're the loving husband who makes my life complete

Oh, I thank God for the man that you are

A good Christian heart, my steady guiding star

Drew, you are the answer to the prayers I used to pray

And my love for you just keeps on growing every day

Yes, my love for you just keeps on growing every day
