Ely

I am the big sister, I've been here the longest

But somehow, Ely, you grew up the strongest

My whole life you've been there to answer the call

Catching my hand every time I would fall

You stepped into Dad's shoes when the moment was right

And became the example that guides through the night

Thank you, Baba, for leading the way

For being the rock that I lean on today

You provide for us all, you're steady and kind

Always making sure I'm not too far behind

I'm older, it's true, but I look up to you

For all that you are and all that you do

I thought I'd be teaching you how to be grown

But you showed me wisdom I never had known

Whenever I needed you, you would appear

Taking the worry and calming the fear

You built a good life, you stand tall and true

And Crystal is lucky to share it with you

Thank you, Baba, for leading the way

For being the rock that I lean on today

You provide for us all, you're steady and kind

Always making sure I'm not too far behind

I'm older, it's true, but I look up to you

For all that you are and all that you do

A brother who stepped up to be so much more

The father-figure this family was looking for

Buba, I love you, and I want you to know

I'll follow your footsteps wherever you go

So thank you, Baba, for leading the way

For setting the standard I look to today

You provide for us all, you're steady and kind

Always making sure I'm not too far behind

I'm the big sister, but the truth is clear

I'm following you, and I'm glad I'm right here
