Shelley

I was just looking at a screen, scrolling on TikTok

When a country angel made my whole world stop

You were standing out there with the horses and the cows

And I knew I had to get to know you somehow

I fell in love with the sunsets you’d share

And the way the evening light caught in your hair

Oh, Shelley, you’ve got a heart of solid gold

The most beautiful blue eyes that a man could behold

You’re smart and you’re funny, a loyal friend to the end

And I’m the lucky man who gets to hold your hand

You’re an artist with a soul that’s caring and true

If anyone deserves the world, darling, it’s you

I love the gentle way you care for all your animals

Every little thing you do is simply wonderful

You paint a perfect picture with your honest, open heart

I knew that you were special right from the very start

From the pasture to the canvas, you make everything shine

I thank the stars above that you are mine

Oh, Shelley, you’ve got a heart of solid gold

The most beautiful blue eyes that a man could behold

You’re smart and you’re funny, a loyal friend to the end

And I’m the lucky man who gets to hold your hand

You’re an artist with a soul that’s caring and true

If anyone deserves the world, darling, it’s you

Every brushstroke of your life is a masterpiece

You bring my restless spirit such a sweet, sweet peace

I’ll be right beside you as the western sun descends

My amazing girl, my lover, and my best friend

Oh, Shelley, you’ve got a heart of solid gold

The most beautiful blue eyes that a man could behold

You’re smart and you’re funny, a loyal friend to the end

And I’m the lucky man who gets to hold your hand

You’re an artist with a soul that’s caring and true

If anyone deserves the world, Shelley, it’s you
