Fred

You reached out for my hand when I was eighteen

You chose me as your partner and made me your queen

Thirty-seven years and I still feel the fire

You built this world around us and lifted us higher

Fred, you are the shelter in every storm

The one who keeps this family safe and warm

You give without asking, your heart is so true

Every single thing I ever needed is you

We raised up four children and watched them all soar

Nick, Alyssa, Allie, Bella gave us so much more

Now three little grandsons hold parts of your soul

You showed up every morning and made us all whole

Fred, you are the shelter in every storm

The one who keeps this family safe and warm

You give without asking, your heart is so true

Every single thing I ever needed is you

With your Mr. Magoo eyes squinting at me

I never knew how strong our deep love could be

You bring me my coffee in bed every day

You shower me with love in so many ways

Fred, you are the shelter in every storm

The one who keeps this family safe and warm

You give without asking, your heart is so true

Every single thing I ever needed is you

I love you, my Mr. Magoo, yes I do
