Dan

I knew you before you drew your very first breath

My final child, a blessing that I have kept

You have a heart so tender, so merciful and warm

An easy-going spirit in the quiet and the storm

You love your parents, your sibling, and your grandparents too

A friend to everybody who crosses paths with you

Always so dependable, always ready to care

Whenever I might need you, Dan, you're already there

So stand on the Word of Jesus, for He will never fail

Life is a long journey, but His goodness will prevail

All things work together for the good of those who love Him

Keep striving in your faith even when the light is dim

Run the race with endurance, keep your eyes on the reward

Dan, there is no limit, no limit in the Lord

I love to cook your favorite meals and watch you eat with joy

I see the man you are today, but you're still my baby boy

You take such good care of me, so thoughtful and so kind

A more lovable and helpful son, I could never find

You put the Lord above it all, you seek Him every day

I am beaming with such gratitude as I watch you walk His way

So stand on the Word of Jesus, for He will never fail

Life is a long journey, but His goodness will prevail

All things work together for the good of those who love Him

Keep striving in your faith even when the light is dim

Run the race with endurance, keep your eyes on the reward

Dan, there is no limit, no limit in the Lord

I will leave no stone unturned to help you on your way

I will be your steady support until my dying day

To my very last breath, I am standing by your side

To love God is to obey Him, so let His truth be your guide

Life is exactly how you see it, so keep running in this race

Covered by His mercy, surrounded by His grace

So stand on the Word of Jesus, for He will never fail

Life is a long journey, but His goodness will prevail

All things work together for the good of those who love Him

Keep striving in your faith even when the light is dim

Run the race with endurance, keep your eyes on the reward

Dan, there is no limit, no limit in the Lord
