For years I was tormented, carrying the weight

But I kept my faith through the trials and the hate

I cried unto You, trusting it was already done

A battle that Your mercy had already won

No matter what I face, I will lift up my hands

And worship You exactly where I stand

Thank You Jesus, my fortress and my rock

My refuge when I didn't have the strength to walk

You are worthy to be praised through every tear I shed

You're the Shepherd keeping Josue safe and led

I will worship You no matter what I go through

My life is just a song of praise to You

When the torment finally stopped, I saw the light

You guided my footsteps away from the fight

You kept me from harm so I wouldn't be hurt

And lifted my heavy spirit up from the dirt

You gave me the power to push myself through

When I had no strength left, I relied upon You

And held me secure in the palm of Your hand
