Destiney

Windows down, just driving in the car

Looking over at you, seeing how special you are

The sky was painted a perfect shade of blue

But it couldn't outshine the beautiful smile on you

You've got a spirit that's honest and true

I'm so proud of the daughter I see in you

Oh, Destiney, no matter where you go

I’ll love you unconditionally, I need you to know

You’re always in my thoughts, you’re always in my heart

Even if the world tries to keep us apart

Keep working hard, keep aiming high

And always trust God to be your guide

I still remember the sunshine down at the beach

Feeling like the whole world was right in our reach

Now I watch you working to better your life

Tenacious and strong through the struggle and strife

You put in the effort, you never back down

You're the most loving soul I could ever have found

Oh, Destiney, no matter where you go

I’ll love you unconditionally, I need you to know

You’re always in my thoughts, you’re always in my heart

Even if the world tries to keep us apart

Keep working hard, keep aiming high

And always trust God to be your guide

When the road gets heavy and the shadows fall

Just look up to heaven and give Him a call

You've got a fire that nobody can tame

I thank the Lord every time I say your name

Oh, Destiney, no matter where you go

I’ll love you unconditionally, I want you to know

You’re always in my thoughts, right here in my heart

Nothing in this life could tear us apart

Keep that beautiful smile, keep aiming high

And always trust God as you reach for the sky
