Marcello

Yeah, walking down the block to the corner store

Every trip we take got me smiling more

Eating on some candy while the pizza's hot

Chilling with my grandson, it's the perfect spot

Crack a Diet Coke, let the tab just pop

Got me laughing at your jokes, man, they never stop

You always keep it funny, keep the energy right

Marcello, you're a star, yeah, you bring the light

Marcello, I just gotta tell you why

I love you as far as the big blue sky

As wide as the horizon when the sun shines through

Ain't nobody in the world who compares to you

Yeah, as far and as wide as the big blue sky

You're so special to me, I could never deny

Keep your head up high, let your spirit fly

Look at how you're growing, man, you're handsome and strong

Got a loving heart, knowing where you belong

Always showing care in the things you do

I'm so incredibly proud of you

You're one of a kind, yeah, a rare design

Seeing who you are gives me peace of mind

From the candy wrappers to the talks we share

Nothing in this life could ever compare

Marcello, I just gotta tell you why

I love you as far as the big blue sky

As wide as the horizon when the sun shines through

Ain't nobody in the world who compares to you

Yeah, as far and as wide as the big blue sky

You're so special to me, I could never deny

Keep your head up high, let your spirit fly

Yeah, you're strong in your soul, got a caring heart

Knew that you were special right from the start

Every Diet Coke, every pizza slice

These are the little things that make up my life

Yeah, I hold 'em so tight, gonna say it twice

These are the memories that make up my life

Marcello, I just gotta tell you why

I love you as far as the big blue sky

As wide as the horizon when the sun shines through

Ain't nobody in the world who compares to you

Yeah, as far and as wide as the big blue sky

You're so special to me, I could never deny

My grandson, forever, let your spirit fly
