Erin

Out in the yard where the purple iris grows

You're tending the garden, working the rows

Checking the chickens as the morning breaks

Showing me the beauty that a gentle hand makes

You've always got time, you're patient and wise

With Jehovah's love shining right in your eyes

There's no mother in the world quite like you, Erin

With a heart so understanding and endlessly caring

From a wonderful Mom to the grandma we need

You planted the love and you watered the seed

Through every season, whatever we go through

I love you, Momma, there's nobody like you

I still remember the lessons you taught

In the quiet of the woods and the stillness we caught

Hunting by moonlight, watching the sky

Or fishing at the beach as the tide rolled by

Casting our lines out, sharing the foam

Anywhere beside you always felt just like home

There's no mother in the world quite like you, Erin

With a heart so understanding and endlessly caring

From a wonderful Mom to the grandma we need

You planted the love and you watered the seed

Through every season, whatever we go through

I love you, Momma, there's nobody like you

Like a bright sunflower turning up to the light

Your faith is the compass that raised me up right

A beautiful grandma, a mother so true

I'm so blessed to walk through this life loving you

There's no mother in the world quite like you, Erin

With a heart so understanding and endlessly caring

From a wonderful Mom to the grandma we need

You planted the love and you watered the seed

Through every season, whatever we go through

I love you, Momma, there's nobody like you
