Amanda

You are my firstborn, my very first love

A beautiful breath from the heavens above

I look at you now, and it's so clear to see

The incredible woman you grew up to be

You're funny and perfect, a light in the dark

Forever the very first beat of my heart

Oh Amanda, clothed in strength and grace

I see the love of God shining on your face

A Proverbs thirty-one woman, standing so tall

Worth more than rubies, my greatest gift of all

You laugh without fear at the days yet to come

Amanda, my beautiful, wonderful one

We’ve shared so many laughs, and heartbreaks too

Walked through the valleys, just me and you

We argue, we cry, but you always forgive

You show me what grace is each day that you live

Through all the hard seasons and all the fun days

I thank the Lord for you in so many ways

Oh Amanda, clothed in strength and grace

I see the love of God shining on your face

A Proverbs thirty-one woman, standing so tall

Worth more than rubies, my greatest gift of all

You laugh without fear at the days yet to come

Amanda, my beautiful, wonderful one

Many do noble things, but you shine so bright

Walking in wisdom and walking in light

You open your arms to the ones who need rest

My lovable daughter, I am so truly blessed

So hold on to faith when the shadows are long

I'll always be here to remind you you're strong

Oh Amanda, clothed in strength and grace

I see the love of God shining on your face

A Proverbs thirty-one woman, standing so tall

Worth more than rubies, my greatest gift of all

You laugh without fear at the days yet to come

Amanda, my beautiful, wonderful one
