Savannah

I look at the photos of when you were small

That beautiful smile brought a joy to us all

I remember the days when I held your hand tight

Your eyes shining back with an innocent light

I hold onto memories, golden and true

And thank the good Lord for the blessing of you

Oh Savannah, you’re walking in grace

A quiet strength I can see in your face

No matter how much the seasons may turn

There is a truth that I want you to learn

You will always be my baby girl

A beautiful light in a wonderful world

With heaven behind us and love as our trust

I promise you, darling, nothing can stop us

You have a mind that is brilliant and bright

A sense of humor that makes the room light

You may be quiet, but oh, you are strong

Giving your best as you journey along

I see all the effort in all that you do

I am so proud of the woman in you

Oh Savannah, you’re walking in grace

A quiet strength I can see in your face

No matter how much the seasons may turn

There is a truth that I want you to learn

You will always be my baby girl

A beautiful light in a wonderful world

With heaven behind us and love as our trust

I promise you, darling, nothing can stop us

When mountains rise up and the shadows grow long

I'll be right here to remind you you're strong

No distance, no hurdle, no passage of time

Can break the devotion that’s yours and that's mine

We walk in the light and we stand in the truth

Forever I'll cherish the spirit in you

Oh Savannah, you’re walking in grace

A quiet strength I can see in your face

No matter how much the seasons may turn

There is a truth that I want you to learn

You will always be my baby girl

A beautiful light in a wonderful world

With heaven behind us and love as our trust

I promise Savannah, nothing can stop us
