Shone

Every time we sit and just spend the day

You got a joke that chases the clouds away

I love to see that smile light up your face

Just being around you is a sacred space

You got a big heart, caring and so true

I count my lucky stars that I was born to you

Oh, Shone, you’re the greatest blessing I know

You gave me the courage and room to grow

You showed me strength when the times got tough

With a love so deep, I can't thank you enough

Yeah, Mom, you’re a wonderful blessing to me

The truest definition of family

You taught me what it means to truly give

Showed me the selfless way a person can live

You didn't hold me tight with a selfish pride

You shared me with Grandma Jeanette by your side

Two generations of love pouring down

Because of you both, I'm on solid ground

Oh, Shone, you’re the greatest blessing I know

You gave me the courage and room to grow

You showed me strength when the times got tough

With a love so deep, I can't thank you enough

Yeah, Mom, you’re a wonderful blessing to me

The truest definition of family

We are so blessed, yeah, we are so blessed

Through every trial, you passed the test

With your sense of humor and a spirit so bright

Mom, you always make the heavy things light

I just want to make you happy every single day

And give you your flowers while you're looking my way

Oh, Shone, you’re the greatest blessing I know

You gave me the courage and room to grow

You showed me strength when the times got tough

With a love so deep, I can't thank you enough

Yeah, Mom, you’re a wonderful blessing to me

Thank you for your heart, and your legacy
