Jonny James

I still remember the day you moved in

A beautiful season of life to begin

Out in the cabin right there in the yard

Loving a son like you never is hard

Fourth of July with the sky painted bright

Gathered around the bonfire at night

Movie night laughs when the evening would fade

Look at the beautiful memories we made

Jonny James, you are loved, you are chosen

A heart that is loyal, a door standing open

You have a purpose, God has a plan

I’m so proud of the father, the husband, the man

That you are today, and the son that you’ve been

Jonny James, let the future begin

Strumming your guitar and singing a tune

Filling the air underneath the bright moon

Opening the Word when the family would meet

Leading the Bible study, humble and sweet

Trustworthy, caring, a Godly young man

Walking by faith every step that you can

You carry a kindness that everyone knows

A deep, quiet strength that just constantly grows

Jonny James, you are loved, you are chosen

A heart that is loyal, a door standing open

You have a purpose, God has a plan

I’m so proud of the father, the husband, the man

That you are today, and the son that you’ve been

Jonny James, let the future begin

Every chord that you strike, every prayer that you say

Brings a little more light to the end of the day

You're a wonderful dad, you're a steady, good guide

With the grace of the Lord always there by your side

Jonny James, you are loved, you are chosen

A heart that is loyal, a door standing open

You have a purpose, God has a plan

I’m so proud of the father, the husband, the man

That you are today, and the son that you’ve been

Jonny James, you are loved without end
