Darlene

Darlene, you have a spirit so sweet

A kind-hearted grace to the people you meet

You pour out your love on your family and friends

With a beautiful patience that just never ends

But the greatest devotion your soul has known

Is for the Lord Jesus Christ on His throne

"Children are a heritage from the Lord"

The fruit of the womb is a holy reward

You held to that promise and showed us the way

So I lift up my heart and I thank God today

For the gift of your life, I will praise Him forever

I love you, Mom, forever and ever and ever

I look back on memories we built through the years

The family vacations, the joy and the cheers

Walking around at the mall for the day

Or at the movie theater, just hiding away

Even just sitting and watching TV

Those simple moments mean everything to me

"Children are a heritage from the Lord"

The fruit of the womb is a holy reward

You held to that promise and showed us the way

So I lift up my heart and I thank God today

For the gift of your life, I will praise Him forever

I love you, Mom, forever and ever and ever

Because you love Jesus, you taught us to care

You covered our home in the power of prayer

A beautiful mother, inside and out

You lived what the Gospel is truly about

"Children are a heritage from the Lord"

The fruit of the womb is a holy reward

You held to that promise and showed us the way

So I lift up my heart and I thank God today

For the gift of your life, I will praise Him forever

I love you, Mom, forever and ever and ever

Yes I love you, Mom, forever and ever and ever
