Kevin

We met beneath the office lights

Working side by side through the busy days

It didn't take long for me to see

The quiet beauty in your ways

We didn't wait to take a chance

We skipped the slow and careful dance

Almost the minute you said my name

I knew my life wouldn't be the same

Oh Kevin, you've got a spirit that gives

Showing everybody how kindness lives

Always reaching out to someone in need

You lead with love in every deed

We hold the words of James 4:8

A promise that we keep in view

Draw near to God with all your heart

And He will draw near to you

I watch the way you walk through life

I'm so grateful to be your wife

You never ask for the spotlight's glare

If somebody falls, you're already there

Lifting them up, carrying the load

Walking them down a difficult road

That servant's heart is your design

And I thank heaven that you are mine

Oh Kevin, you've got a spirit that gives

Showing everybody how kindness lives

Always reaching out to someone in need

You lead with love in every deed

We hold the words of James 4:8

A promise that we keep in view

Draw near to God with all your heart

And He will draw near to you

From the very first day that we clocked in

I knew a beautiful life would begin

Through every season, through every prayer

I look beside me and you are there

Building our home on a solid rock

A love that outlasts the ticking clock

Oh Kevin, you've got a spirit that gives

Showing everybody how kindness lives

Always reaching out to someone in need

You lead with love in every deed

We hold the words of James 4:8

A promise that we keep in view

Draw near to God with all your heart

And He will draw near to you
