Bertha

A brand new beginning, a quiet new dawn

Our lives are now starting with faith to lean on

Believing in God, He has opened the way

And brought me to Bertha, my blessing today

I rest in the wisdom of the words that you speak

You show me the patience that I'll always seek

When we are together, we stand as one

Built on the rock of the Father and Son

I will respect you and stand by your side

With love as our anchor and God as our guide

We will grow old together, it's true

Bertha, my darling, I truly love you

Lord, You have made her so beautiful to see

But her beautiful heart is the treasure to me

And even those times when she makes fun of me

It never upsets me, I feel so carefree

It brings tingles right through me, a spark in my soul

With her by my side, Lord, I am finally whole

When we are together, we stand as one

Built on the rock of the Father and Son

I will respect you and stand by your side

With love as our anchor and God as our guide

We will grow old together, it's true

Bertha, my darling, I truly love you

A new beginning, a promise we pray

Walking in faith at the end of the day

I vow to protect you, to cherish and care

A love that is holy, a life we will share

'Cause when we are together, we stand as one

Built on the grace of the Father and Son

I will respect you and stand by your side

With love as our anchor and God as our guide

We will grow old together, it's true

Bertha, forever, I completely love you
