Andrew

Sitting in the quiet with my old guitar

Strumming out the prayers of a faithful heart

Learning how to wait, letting patience grow

Finding out the peace that I was meant to know

Every time the heavy world begins to press

I find a little comfort in this steady rest

For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son

A promise for the broken, a grace for everyone

Whoever will believe won't perish in the night

But step into the freedom of everlasting life

Yeah, that's the truth I'm holding onto now

With every single note I'm playing out

Fingers on the frets, a quiet kind of prayer

Trusting that the Maker is already there

Staying faithful through the shadows, steady in the wait

Knowing that His mercy never shows up late

Every little song is just a stepping stone

Reminding me I'll never walk this road alone

For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son

A promise for the broken, a grace for everyone

Whoever will believe won't perish in the night

But step into the freedom of everlasting life

Yeah, that's the truth I'm holding onto now

With every single note I'm playing out

Patience is the tempo, faith is the key

A love so profound that it rescued me

The cross and the empty grave, the reason I sing

Andrew, give it back to Him on these six strings

For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son

A promise for the broken, a grace for everyone

Whoever will believe won't perish in the night

But step into the glory of everlasting life

Yeah, that's the truth I'm holding onto now

With every single note I'm playing out

I'll keep the faith and keep on playing out
