Michael

I look back at the night it all began

A noisy room, a glass in my hand

Who knew that Heaven had a quiet plan

When Cowboy smiled and introduced my man

You looked at me, and the world went still

A sudden peace, a holy thrill

I didn't know the journey we'd start

But God was already joining our hearts

Michael, you are my answered prayer

A faithful spirit, always there

You make me laugh when the skies are gray

You wash the heavy burdens away

And even when the shadows fall

Through the bad times, I love you through it all

A tender grace I hold so dear

I'll love you, Michael, year after year

We’ve chased the horizon, side by side

So many adventures, a beautiful ride

Making memories under the sun

Two different souls becoming one

When I am weary, you hold me tight

You guide my spirit back to the light

Your supportive heart is a steady shore

Making me love you more and more

Michael, you are my answered prayer

A faithful spirit, always there

You make me laugh when the skies are gray

You wash the heavy burdens away

And even when the shadows fall

Through the bad times, I love you through it all

A tender grace I hold so dear

I'll love you, Michael, year after year

We’ve seen the valleys, we’ve felt the rain

We’ve shared the joy and we’ve shared the pain

But every trial just makes us strong

Right by your side is where I belong

I lift my voice and I thank the Lord

For the faithful husband that I adore

Oh, Michael, you are my answered prayer

A faithful spirit, always there

You make me laugh when the skies are gray

You wash the heavy burdens away

And even when the shadows fall

Through the bad times, I love you through it all

From that first night to our final breath

I'll love you, Michael, past life and death
