Alexis

Clocking in under the fluorescent lights

Working our way through those heavy nights

That's where I found you, walking down the aisle

Everything stopped when I saw your smile

Walmart was quiet, but my heart was loud

You were the only one in the midnight crowd

Didn't know then what we were starting up

Just working the shift and falling in love

Alexis, you're the reason that I'm standing here

Treasuring every moment of these last three years

With your kind-hearted soul and your beautiful glow

Without you in my life, baby, I don't know

Where I would be, or the man I'd become

You push me to be better, you're my only one

Yeah, every second with you is a dream come true

Alexis, I love you with all my heart, I do

It’s the way that you care, it’s the way that you speak

Giving me strength when my spirit is weak

Three years together, but we've just begun

I found my best self when I found the one

You never gave up, you just held my hand

Guiding my steps to be a better man

Your kind-hearted nature is a work of art

You're holding the only key to my heart

Alexis, you're the reason that I'm standing here

Treasuring every moment of these last three years

With your kind-hearted soul and your beautiful glow

Without you in my life, baby, I don't know

Where I would be, or the man I'd become

You push me to be better, you're my only one

Yeah, every second with you is a dream come true

Alexis, I love you with all my heart, I do

I'm looking ahead to the days to come

When we get our own place and the waiting is done

Keys in the door, baby, just you and me

Building the future we're meant to see

I'm counting the days till I make you my wife

I can't wait to marry you and share this life

Alexis, you're the reason that I'm standing here

Treasuring every moment of these last three years

With your kind-hearted soul and your beautiful glow

Without you in my life, baby, I don't know

Where I would be, or the man I'd become

You push me to be better, you're my only one

From the overnight shift to a diamond ring

Alexis, you are my everything
