Shawn

You've got a heart that's always open

Always quick to lend a hand

Whenever somebody needs a favor

You're the first to understand

I watch you looking out for others

Giving everything you can give

Shawn, you bring so much light

Just by the way you live

You are my biggest joy

God blessed me the day you came

You showed me what real love is

And my life is never the same

No matter how tall you grow

Or how the years fly, it's true

You will always be my baby

Shawn, I am so proud of you

I still smile when I think of the memories

When you were just a little guy

Looking up with that determination

And a bright spark in your eye

"You see about that," you used to tell me

Whenever you made up your mind

Now I look at the man you've become

So generous and kind

You are my biggest joy

God blessed me the day you came

You showed me what real love is

And my life is never the same

No matter how tall you grow

Or how the years fly, it's true

You will always be my baby

Shawn, I am so proud of you

You give your time, you give your spirit

To everyone who comes your way

I count my blessings every morning

For the man you are today

But deep down inside this heart of mine

Beneath everything you do

I will always see my little boy

When I look at a son like you

'Cause you are my biggest joy

God blessed me the day you came

You showed me what real love is

And my life is never the same

No matter how tall you grow

Or what you go on to do

You will always be my baby

Shawn, I will always love you
