Janice

Out of sixteen babies in our family tree

You were always the one standing right next to me

When the other brothers and sisters couldn't be found

You stayed by my side, keeping my feet on the ground

Three years between us, but a bond that won't break

I thank my Heavenly Father for the difference you make

You are love strong, with a heart and mind for God

Standing on the battlefield, leaning on His staff and rod

You light up my heart with the love of Jesus Christ

The Lord is your shepherd, He's the center of your life

Keep doing what you're doing, keep holding to His hand

Everything will be alright, resting in the Master's plan

I've watched you walk through so many bitter storms

But you never gave up, you let His grace keep you warm

You send your prayers up for me and all our family too

A true believer with a soul so tried and true

You've got nothing but the Savior on your mind each day

It will pay off after a while, He will always make a way

You are love strong, with a heart and mind for God

Standing on the battlefield, leaning on His staff and rod

You light up my heart with the love of Jesus Christ

The Lord is your shepherd, He's the center of your life

Keep doing what you're doing, keep holding to His hand

Everything will be alright, resting in the Master's plan

Sister, we've come a long way, we've come a long, long way

And His word is the reason we are standing here today

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High

Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty, you and I

You shall never want for anything, His promise is secure

Jesus loves you, Sister Janice, and God loves you more

'Cause you are love strong, with a heart and mind for God

Standing on the battlefield, leaning on His staff and rod

You light up my heart with the love of Jesus Christ

The Lord is your shepherd, He's the center of your life

Keep doing what you're doing, keep holding to His hand

Everything is gonna be alright, resting in the Master's plan
