Junior

I fell in love the moment you cried

Holding you close, overflowing with pride

Since you were born, I have known it was true

A piece of my soul was living in you

Watching you grow with each passing day

I count every blessing that comes down our way

Oh Junior, I love you, my wonderful son

I cherish the man that you have become

May you be blessed in all that you do

May heaven's protection always hold you

Keep walking in faith, right from the start

My loving boy, a worshipper at heart

You have a kindness that everyone sees

You're so very funny, putting hearts at ease

When you pick up the sticks and sit at the kit

You find the right rhythm and live inside it

A loving son who is gentle and bright

You fill up my days with a beautiful light

Oh Junior, I love you, my wonderful son

I cherish the man that you have become

May you be blessed in all that you do

May heaven's protection always hold you

Keep walking in faith, right from the start

My loving boy, a worshipper at heart

When you strike the snare, when you keep the time

Your spirit and music perfectly rhyme

You lift up your hands and you pour out your soul

A beautiful faith that makes you so whole

I pray you are safe wherever you roam

And know that my love is your shelter and home

Oh Junior, I love you, my wonderful son

I cherish the man that you have become

May you be blessed in all that you do

May heaven's protection always hold you

Keep walking in faith, right from the start

My loving boy, a worshipper at heart
