Shelby

I look at the seasons that carried us here

Watching you grow with each passing year

Shelby, you stepped out and into the light

A beautiful spirit, so strong and so bright

I stand in amazement at all that you are

My brightest of mornings, my steady star

And I love you with all of my heart

So caring and loving, so wonderfully smart

You are a blessing, a gift from the start

Shelby, I love you with all of my heart

There is a wisdom that guides what you do

A gentle compassion that always shines through

You carry a grace in the words that you speak

Lifting the heavy and helping the weak

Watching you flourish has made my life whole

I see the heaven that lives in your soul

And I love you with all of my heart

So caring and loving, so wonderfully smart

You are a blessing, a gift from the start

Shelby, I love you with all of my heart

I lift up a prayer for the days yet to be

That you'll always know what you mean to me

Through every chapter and every new page

My love is a shelter that never will fade

Keep shining your light, let your spirit fly free

My beautiful daughter, you're everything to me

Oh, I love you with all of my heart

So caring and loving, so wonderfully smart

You are a blessing, a gift from the start

Shelby, I love you with all of my heart

Yes, Shelby, I love you with all of my heart
