Ruben

We take those random walks without a place to be

You're cracking jokes at everything, always uplifting me

You have a way of shielding me when the world gets heavy

Protective and so loving, you keep my spirit steady

We catch a random nap when the afternoon is slow

There is nowhere else on earth I'd ever rather go

Ruben, I love you with my whole heart and soul

God placed you in my life, and I want you to know

I don't want or need anybody else

You're the truest blessing that I've ever felt

I thank the Lord for the man you are

You mean the world to me, you have my heart

When it gets cold, we sit together by the fire

Opening the Bible, lifting our praises higher

I love to hear you speak about the things you've seen

Sharing your testimony, telling me what it means

You love God so deeply, it shines in all you do

I am so inspired just by walking next to you

Ruben, I love you with my whole heart and soul

God placed you in my life, and I want you to know

I don't want or need anybody else

You're the truest blessing that I've ever felt

I thank the Lord for the man you are

You mean the world to me, you have my heart

When the day is over and we cuddle before bed

I rest my head beside you while the final words are said

I pray over you, Ruben, into the quiet night

Asking God to keep you safe and hold you in His light

I thank Him for His goodness, I thank Him for His grace

And for the love I see every time I look at your face

Ruben, I love you with my whole heart and soul

God placed you in my life, and I want you to know

I don't want or need anybody else

You're the truest blessing that I've ever felt

I thank the Lord for the man you are

You mean the world to me, you have my heart
