Lillian Jeanette

You’ve been here beside me since my very first breath

A gentle protector through every new step

When I needed comfort, you gave me your time

So patient and loving, so steady and kind

You show me what faith is supposed to look like

A beacon of hope in the middle of night

You are clothed in strength, you are clothed in dignity

A prayer warrior fighting on her knees for me

With a heart of gold, you reflect the Father's light

Proverbs thirty-one coming alive in my sight

You go above and beyond time and again

My beautiful aunt, my lifelong friend

Whenever I stumble, you’re quick to forgive

You teach me the way that a believer should live

With encouraging words that can carry me through

I see the Creator whenever I see you

You pour out your spirit and never keep score

Always giving your all, and then giving some more

You are clothed in strength, you are clothed in dignity

A prayer warrior fighting on her knees for me

With a heart of gold, you reflect the Father's light

Proverbs thirty-one coming alive in my sight

You go above and beyond time and again

My beautiful aunt, my lifelong friend

Lillian Jeanette, I just want you to know

I see the Lord in the seeds that you sow

You walk through this world with a heavenly grace

And leave a sweet blessing in every place

I thank God for the woman you choose to be

And the love that you've always poured into me

'Cause you're clothed in strength, you are clothed in dignity

A prayer warrior fighting on her knees for me

With a heart of gold, you reflect the Father's light

Proverbs thirty-one coming alive in my sight

You go above and beyond time and again

My beautiful aunt, my lifelong friend
