Russ

You drop your boots there by the door, another long day done

You give your all to everything beneath the setting sun

The pups come running down the hall, they know their daddy's home

I watch you kneel to love on them, the sweetest man I've known

You carry weight upon your back without a single sigh

And still you have a gentle touch whenever I am by

Russ, you are my best friend, the answer to my prayers

Through almost four years of this life, I know you're always there

I love you, baby, more than words could ever try to say

Thank you for being my everything, every single day

I used to wander through this world, just trying to get by

But you had heaven in your heart and steady in your eye

You took my hand and walked with me, and led me to the cross

You showed me grace and gave me faith when I was feeling lost

Now every time I bow my head, I thank the Lord above

For sending me a husband who can show me His true love

Russ, you are my best friend, the answer to my prayers

Through almost four years of this life, I know you're always there

I love you, baby, more than words could ever try to say

Thank you for being my everything, every single day

You work so hard to build this life, but still make time for me

You're the partner that I always prayed a man could be

From Sunday mornings in the pew to quiet nights at home

With you right here beside me, I will never walk alone

'Cause Russ, you are my best friend, the answer to my prayers

Through almost four years of this life, I know you're always there

I love you, baby, more than words could ever try to say

Thank you for being my everything, every single day

Yeah, thank you for being my everything, I love you more each day
