Two Hearts Held By Him
Written for Kissy · FreeCustomSong OriginalGod wrote this story long before our paths began to blend
Back at the Aldi warehouse, He gave me my best friend
Through Hobby Lobby aisles, searching for a craft to make
And Christmas twenty-twenty, when the world began to shake
You always put your faith first, so patient and so kind
The sister I would choose if it were left to my design
ChorusOh, Kissy, you’re the sister that I got to choose
A living testament of grace in everything you do
Two hearts held by the Father can weather any storm
Through every tear and laugh we share, you keep my spirit warm
I thank the Lord who gave me such a faithful friend
A love that points to Heaven, on which I can depend
Verse 2We walked through heavy valleys, the deepest kinds of grief
When losing Cody and Jacob brought us to our knees
You stood right there beside me when I couldn’t stand alone
The most attentive, loving heart that I have ever known
You do so much for others, without a second thought
A picture of the selfless love that Jesus Christ has taught
ChorusOh, Kissy, you’re the sister that I got to choose
A living testament of grace in everything you do
Two hearts held by the Father can weather any storm
Through every tear and laugh we share, you keep my spirit warm
I thank the Lord who gave me such a faithful friend
A love that points to Heaven, on which I can depend
BridgeMy children watch your footsteps, the godkids that you love
They see your strength and kindness reflecting God above
You’ve carried me through shadows, you’ve celebrated light
A genuine example of walking in His sight
Final ChorusOh, Kissy, you’re the sister that I got to choose
A living testament of grace in everything you do
Two hearts held by the Father can weather any storm
Through every tear and laugh we share, you keep my spirit warm
I thank the Lord who gave me such a faithful friend
My safe place and my cheerleader, together to the end
