Timmy

I still hear the strum of your favorite guitar

A melody traveling, no matter how far

Timmy, you always knew how to make me smile

With a joke and a hand, going the extra mile

You were always the first one to help people out

That’s the kind of good heart I am singing about

We were T-n-T, yeah, Timmy and Trish

A spark in the dark, a beautiful wish

Though the seasons have turned and we went our own ways

I carry that light to the end of my days

You’re right here in my heart, no matter where you are

Just like the sound of your acoustic guitar

I look back on the laughter we shared in the room

How you'd chase away every shadow and gloom

You gave me a friendship I'll never forget

A chapter of joy with zero regret

So keep playing those chords, let the music fly free

And save a small piece of that music for me

We were T-n-T, yeah, Timmy and Trish

A spark in the dark, a beautiful wish

Though the seasons have turned and we went our own ways

I carry that light to the end of my days

You’re right here in my heart, no matter where you are

Just like the sound of your acoustic guitar

There is one little thing I am asking of you

When I step out of sight, when my journey is through

When I'm no longer here in this world that we share

Please remember my name in a quiet, sweet prayer

Look up at the sky and know I'm at peace

Let the joy that we had be a beautiful release

'Cause we were T-n-T, yeah, Timmy and Trish

A spark in the dark, a beautiful wish

Though the seasons have turned and we went our own ways

I carry that light to the end of my days

You’re right here in my heart, near and far

Keep me in your prayers, and keep playing guitar

Yeah, we were T-n-T, near and far
