Roo

We were going through a valley, a tragic, trying time

Shadows heavy on the family, with a mountain left to climb

Then you came, my baby sister, the gift we needed most

The reason Momma didn't quit when she was losing hope

You were her reason for living, the wind beneath her wings

The miracle that turned it 'round and changed everything

So happy birthday to my sister, my hero, and my friend

I love you far beyond the universe, where the starry skies end

You’re a wonderful and beautiful soul, honest and true

And no matter how much time goes by, you’ll always be my Roo

Now I look at who you've grown to be, the life that you have made

A loving momma and a mawmaw, with a heart that doesn't fade

You've been my trusted confidant, the one I lean upon

Through every single chapter, you've been steady as the dawn

I just want you to know today, how appreciated you are

You're the center of our family, our brightest shining star

So happy birthday to my sister, my hero, and my friend

I love you far beyond the universe, where the starry skies end

You’re a wonderful and beautiful soul, honest and true

And no matter how much time goes by, you’ll always be my Roo

Words could never measure up to what you mean to me

You brought the sunlight back into our family tree

I just want to say I love you, more than you could know

And on this special birthday, I had to tell you so

So happy birthday to my sister, my hero, and my friend

I love you far beyond the universe, where the starry skies end

You’re a wonderful and beautiful soul, honest and true

And no matter how much time goes by, you’ll always be my Roo

Yeah, loved more than you'll ever know, you'll always be my Roo
