Gwen

We met back when we were just teenagers

Running wild and chasing down the wind

We shared the laughs and all the crazy moments

Back in the days when we were lost in sin

But the Lord was writing out our story

Calling us from out of the unknown

He took two restless hearts and gave them glory

And showed us we would never walk alone

Oh, Gwen, you are my oldest, dearest friend

My sister in Christ until the very end

You’ve got a giving heart that shines so bright

Always bringing joy, always bringing light

I’m praying that the Master heals you now

And wraps you in His loving arms somehow

Stand strong in faith, the way you always do

My sister, God is watching over you

You’ve always been so fiercely independent

Standing tall no matter what you face

You keep us laughing with your sense of humor

And fill the room with such a giving grace

You only want to see the people happy

Pouring out the love you hold inside

I see the love of God reflecting through you

With Jesus as your anchor and your guide

Oh, Gwen, you are my oldest, dearest friend

My sister in Christ until the very end

You’ve got a giving heart that shines so bright

Always bringing joy, always bringing light

I’m praying that the Master heals you now

And wraps you in His loving arms somehow

Stand strong in faith, the way you always do

My sister, God is watching over you

We started out as sinners in the shadows

But Jesus pulled us out and made us whole

Now I am sending up an earnest prayer

For Heaven's healing hand to touch your soul

Let every heavy burden be released

And fill your independent heart with peace

Oh, Gwen, you are my oldest, dearest friend

My sister in Christ until the very end

You’ve got a giving heart that shines so bright

Always bringing joy, always bringing light

I’m praying that the Master heals you now

And restores your spirit and your strength somehow

Stand strong in faith, the way you always do

My sister, God is watching over you
