Keisha

September twenty, a gift from above

The first day I laid my eyes on you, my love

My heart skipped a beat in the light of His grace

I saw heaven's mercy right there on your face

You were placed in my arms, a miracle given

A beautiful daughter, a treasure from heaven.

Oh Keisha, independent, strong, loving and true

I pray that the Father pours His goodness on you

If God is with us, who can be against us?

No weapon formed against you shall prosper or stand

Walk in His favor, my beautiful daughter

Forever held safe in His hand.

Now we stay on the phone as the hours unfold

Laughing and talking, sharing stories of old

Reminiscing on days that have already passed

I cherish these moments and the joy that they cast

Through all of the years, one thing is so clear

Your dedicated spirit brings heaven so near.

Oh Keisha, independent, strong, loving and true

I pray that the Father pours His goodness on you

If God is with us, who can be against us?

No weapon formed against you shall prosper or stand

Walk in His favor, my beautiful daughter

Forever held safe in His hand.

Through every season, through every test

I know that our Savior will give you His rest

Hold onto the Word when the journey gets long

His truth is your armor, His love is your song

He goes on before you to clear out the way

His angels surround you by night and by day.

Oh Keisha, independent, strong, loving and true

I pray that the Father pours His goodness on you

If God is with us, who can be against us?

No weapon formed against you shall prosper or stand

Walk in His favor, my beautiful daughter

Forever held safe in His hand.

My beautiful daughter

Love, Mom
