Aiden

I look back on the day that you came to this earth

And I thank the Lord for the gift of your birth

Through the hard and the good times that we have walked through

I'm blessed every day by the strength inside you

Aiden, my son, you are truly my own

The most wonderful son that I've ever known

From the day you were born, you’ve been a blessing to me

A beautiful light for the whole world to see

You’re patient and loving, you’re handsome and kind

The purest of hearts I could ever find

I lift up my hands for the work He has done

Aiden, I love you, my wonderful son

You were everything to your grandma, you loved her so dear

And the bond that you shared is a treasure so clear

She was taken too soon when that tragic fire came

She died saving our lives, and we honor her name

Now at seventeen, you're the joy in my soul

With your humor and heart making everything whole

From the day you were born, you’ve been a blessing to me

A beautiful light for the whole world to see

You’re patient and loving, you’re handsome and kind

The purest of hearts I could ever find

I lift up my hands for the work He has done

Aiden, I love you, my wonderful son

I know that she’s watching you from heaven above

Surrounding your steps with her courage and love

I pray that the Lord always guides where you go

And showers you in the same love that you show

'Cause from the day you were born, you’ve been a blessing to me

A beautiful light for the whole world to see

You’re patient and loving, you’re handsome and kind

The purest of hearts I could ever find

I lift up my hands for the work He has done

Aiden, I love you, my wonderful son
