Jean

Fifty years of changing seasons

Walking closely by my side

You have been my steady harbor

Where my deepest thoughts confide

More than just a trusted friend

You're a sister to my soul

With a quiet, honest nature

That has made my spirit whole

Oh, Jean, you give so freely

With a pure, sincere embrace

Finding good in every moment

Leaving light in every place

Know that Jesus walks beside you

He will never let you go

His love will not forsake you

In the valleys here below

You pour out your heart for others

Asking nothing in return

With a gentle, open spirit

Where the fires of mercy burn

When the heavy clouds are gathering

You still seek the silver line

Seeing beauty in the shadows

With a faith that is divine

Oh, Jean, you give so freely

With a pure, sincere embrace

Finding good in every moment

Leaving light in every place

Know that Jesus walks beside you

He will never let you go

His love will not forsake you

In the valleys here below

Half a century of memories

Woven through with truth and grace

Every kindness you have offered

Time can never quite erase

Rest upon the Savior's promise

When the weary shadows fall

He who sees your giving nature

Is the faithful Lord of all

Oh, Jean, you give so freely

With a pure, sincere embrace

Finding good in every moment

Leaving light in every place

Know that Jesus walks beside you

He will never let you go

His love will not forsake you

He will always love you so
