Nakita

I still remember the very first day

I held you close and I started to pray

A tiny heartbeat, so fragile and new

I saw the grace of the Maker in you

You were a promise of heavenly light

Nakita, my blessing, so precious and bright

You are deeply loved, let the heavens proclaim

A tender warrior who calls on His name

When the trials come, you will stand, you will rise

A beautiful conqueror in the Lord's eyes

Hold onto the truth when the shadows are long

Nakita, in Him you are brave, you are strong

Through all of the seasons, the highs and the lows

Your caring, encouraging spirit just grows

You listen with patience, you understand

A trustworthy rock in a shifting land

You've been my shelter, my steady support

A grace-given anchor when life falls short

You are deeply loved, let the heavens proclaim

A tender warrior who calls on His name

When the trials come, you will stand, you will rise

A beautiful conqueror in the Lord's eyes

Hold onto the truth when the shadows are long

Nakita, in Him you are brave, you are strong

The Lord has clothed you in armor of peace

With a spirit of mercy that never will cease

You fight with compassion, you lead with your heart

A daughter of God who is set right apart

Whatever the battle, whatever the test

Nakita, you conquer because you are blessed

Yes, you are deeply loved, let the heavens proclaim

A tender warrior who calls on His name

When the trials come, you will stand, you will rise

A beautiful conqueror in the Lord's eyes

Hold onto the truth when the shadows are long

Nakita, in Him you are brave, you are strong

My beautiful conqueror, brave and so strong
