Divine Appointments
Written for Carol · FreeCustomSong OriginalCarol, you're the one who always cares
Uplifting others, lifting up their prayers
We sit in Bible study, sharing grace
But I know the heavy shadows that you face
When the anxiety begins to rise
And insecurity tells heavy lies
You feel rejected, pushed out in the cold
But there is a promise that you need to hold
ChorusHe has plans to prosper you, not to harm you
To give you hope when the shadows alarm you
He loves you, Carol, He will never forsake you
When you feel broken, let His mercy remake you
He sees your heart, He hears your silent plea
You are exactly who you're meant to be
Verse 2You want to walk beside Him every day
To draw a little closer when you pray
You want to do what's right in Heaven's eyes
Even when depression takes you by surprise
The world can be so harsh and make you feel so small
But the Maker of the stars, He catches every fall
You don't have to fight for love or for your place
Just rest a little while inside His grace
ChorusHe has plans to prosper you, not to harm you
To give you hope when the shadows alarm you
He loves you, Carol, He will never forsake you
When you feel broken, let His mercy remake you
He sees your heart, He hears your silent plea
You are exactly who you're meant to be
BridgeThese are divine appointments that we share
I see His spirit in the love you bear
So lift up your eyes when the sorrows are swelling
We're looking ahead to a Heavenly dwelling
Where all of the fears and the tears wash away
But He's walking with you through every today
Final ChorusHe has plans to prosper you, not to harm you
To give you hope when the shadows alarm you
He loves you, Carol, He will never forsake you
When you feel broken, let His mercy remake you
He sees your heart, He hears your silent plea
Walk with Him daily, and you will be free
