Coco

You followed my footsteps wherever I went,

A faithful companion, my quiet content.

Independent and spunky, mischievous, true,

There was no room I walked in that didn't have you.

For love will endure through the hardship and pain,

And even through death, our connection remains.

Oh Coco, my comfort, the peace that you give,

I will love you for as long as I live.

I listen for feet by the closed bathroom door,

The tap of your little paws there on the floor.

I miss the soft sound of your comforting whine,

A loyal devotion that always was mine.

For love will endure through the hardship and pain,

And even through death, our connection remains.

Oh Coco, my comfort, the peace that you give,

I will love you for as long as I live.

You reached up to hold me when days were too long,

And filled up the silence with love that was strong.

You wrapped your paws round my neck like a child,

A tender embrace that was peaceful and mild.

For love will endure through the hardship and pain,

And even through death, our connection remains.

Oh Coco, my comfort, the peace that you give,

I will love you for as long as I live.
