Helen

I look back at the day the shadows broke

The very first time the Spirit spoke

A quiet whisper that called my name

And I knew my heart would never be the same

The moment I was saved, the heavy lifted

I saw how the atmosphere had shifted

I felt the armor finally fall away

And stepped into the light of a brand new day

So Helen, be who God created you to be

Walk in the truth that finally set you free

You are loyal, you are loving, you are brave

Held by the faithful promise that He gave

You are strong enough to let the old things go

Forgiving yourself so the new can grow

Just breathe in deep and let your spirit see

You are exactly who He created you to be

I count the blessings He placed inside my hands

The gifts and talents made for greater plans

There is a quiet purpose in my chest

Trusting that His vision is the best

Every little skill is a seed He planted

Nothing in this journey is taken for granted

I'm learning how to use the light I hold

Watching the story of my life unfold

So Helen, be who God created you to be

Walk in the truth that finally set you free

You are loyal, you are loving, you are brave

Held by the faithful promise that He gave

You are strong enough to let the old things go

Forgiving yourself so the new can grow

Just breathe in deep and let your spirit see

You are exactly who He created you to be

It takes a faithful heart to keep on trusting

When the road is steep and the wind is cold

But I remember the voice that gave me rescue

And the beautiful future that I was told

I am a daughter of the King above

Anchored forever in His endless love

Oh Helen, be who God created you to be

Walk in the truth that finally set you free

You are loyal, you are loving, you are brave

Held by the faithful promise that He gave

You are strong enough to let the old things go

Forgiving yourself so the new can grow

Just breathe in deep and let your spirit see

You are exactly who He created you to be
