Jeff

We crossed over an ocean wide

With my mother walking right by my side

From the Philippines to the USA

We followed the hope of a brand new day

I planted my roots in a foreign land

To grow up strong as an honest man

Oh, I look to the Creator up above

Walking this world with a spirit of love

Keep a high vibration, let the good light shine

I know that this journey is one of a kind

Stay true to myself, let my conscience be free

This is the promise I'm making to me

I give from the heart when I hear the call

To help out a neighbor before they fall

I don't ask for favors, I don't need a prize

Just the quiet peace in another man's eyes

I keep my feet moving, my energy high

Under the watch of the Maker's sky

Oh, I look to the Creator up above

Walking this world with a spirit of love

Keep a high vibration, let the good light shine

I know that this journey is one of a kind

Stay true to myself, let my conscience be free

This is the promise I'm making to me

Listen now, Jeff, when the shadows fall

Keep your word steady and stand up tall

Stay faithful to others, be true to your soul

Let the hands of the Lord keep you grounded and whole

And always look to the Creator up above

Walking this world with a spirit of love

Keep a high vibration, let the good light shine

I know that this journey is one of a kind

Stay true to myself, let my conscience be free

This is the promise I'm making to me

Giving my heart and expecting no return

Just tending the fire and watching it burn
