Jeremy

I watched you grow from a boy in the yard

Into a young man who works so hard

You’re always the first to lend a hand

The kind of grandson who makes a stand

You have a quiet strength that everyone can see

I'm proud of the person you turned out to be

Oh, Jeremy, you hold a special place inside my heart

A bond that the heavy years could never pull apart

Through all the times we’ve laughed and all the tears we’ve cried

I’ve found so much comfort with you by my side

You’re a good young man, so steady and true

I thank the Lord for a grandson like you

When we lost Dylan, the whole world turned gray

But you were the rock that helped us find our way

You held us together, you played your part

With a supportive spirit and a healing heart

And stepping up to be Mommaw's caretaker too

Showed me the beautiful, selfless soul inside of you

Oh, Jeremy, you hold a special place inside my heart

A bond that the heavy years could never pull apart

Through all the times we’ve laughed and all the tears we’ve cried

I’ve found so much comfort with you by my side

You’re a good young man, so steady and true

I thank the Lord for a grandson like you

It takes a heavy toll to carry family grief

But you became our shelter, you brought us relief

You never asked for praise, you just did what you should

Always strong and helpful, always doing good

Oh, Jeremy, you hold a special place inside my heart

A bond that the heavy years could never pull apart

Through all the times we’ve laughed and all the tears we’ve cried

I’ve found so much comfort with you by my side

You’re a good young man, so steady and true

I'll always have a special place for a grandson like you
