Chelsea

Six years old and growing fast, right before my eyes

You always know just how to laugh and take me by surprise

We don't need a busy day or a fancy place to go

Just sitting here, the two of us, watching the morning glow

There is so much kindness in the simple things you do

I thank the Lord above that I get to spend my time with you

Oh, Chelsea, with your great big heart

You've been so lovable right from the start

When it's just the two of us, the whole world is right

You fill up my days with a beautiful light

And whenever you're singing that favorite tune

Remember "Jesus loves me," and He loves you too

You tell a funny little joke and flash a happy smile

I’d gladly sit and listen to you talk a little while

We don't need a crowded room to have a perfect day

Just making up our memories and passing time away

You've got a gentle spirit that is shining like the sun

And being here together is my favorite kind of fun

Oh, Chelsea, with your great big heart

You've been so lovable right from the start

When it's just the two of us, the whole world is right

You fill up my days with a beautiful light

And whenever you're singing that favorite tune

Remember "Jesus loves me," and He loves you too

Keep on being funny, keep on being kind

You're the sweetest blessing that a heart could ever find

Hold on to that little song we sing before we sleep

It's a promise in your soul that you can always keep

Oh, Chelsea, with your great big heart

You've been so lovable right from the start

When it's just the two of us, the whole world is right

You fill up my days with a beautiful light

And whenever you're singing that favorite tune

Remember "Jesus loves me," and He loves you too

Yeah, remember "Jesus loves me," and I love you too
