Vivian

I still hear the melodies you used to play

Your hands on the piano at the close of the day

You sang like an angel, compassionate and sweet

With a warm, loving hug and a kiss on the cheek

You were always encouraging, a comforting light

Guiding me gently through the dark of the night

Oh Momma, I love you, and I miss you so much

I'd give anything now for the grace of your touch

I'll try to be strong, just the way that you were

Standing firm in the faith that you found in the Word

I'll try to make you proud in all that I do

Walking this world, Momma, strong just like you

You knew the whole Bible, every verse through and through

A great prayer warrior, so steadfast and true

You lifted us up with your beautiful prayers

Showing us all how a mother really cares

And I have to smile when I think of your treats

How you never could say no to anything sweet

Oh Momma, I love you, and I miss you so much

I'd give anything now for the grace of your touch

I'll try to be strong, just the way that you were

Standing firm in the faith that you found in the Word

I'll try to make you proud in all that I do

Walking this world, Momma, strong just like you

Vivian, your spirit was a shelter for me

Now you're singing with angels in perfect harmony

I'll carry your lessons, your love, and your grace

And hold on to hope till I see your sweet face

Oh Momma, I love you, and I miss you so much

I'd give anything now for the grace of your touch

I'll try to be strong, just the way that you were

Standing firm in the faith that you found in the Word

I'll try to make you proud in all that I do

Walking this world, Momma, strong just like you

I'll keep your memory tender and true

I love you, Momma, I'll be strong just like you
